Grandma Caption

Everyday conversation gets harder as hearing fades. Grandma Caption, known in Chinese as 大字说, turns speech into very large Chinese text on a phone.

Hold the button and talk, let go and the words appear. Tap a line to hear it read aloud. Text can be set far larger than usual, and past conversations and their audio can be revisited.

Speech recognition runs on open models on a computer at home rather than a paid cloud service.
