Free print coordination: the same price as going to the printer yourself, with no markup or handling fee. The cost depends on quantity, paper, colour pages and finishing.

The Design & printing price includes 9% VAT because I supply your finished thesis books: I order the printing myself, and design and printing are on one invoice. If you print elsewhere, for example with your own printer, the same design work is a standalone service at 21% VAT: €600 with the opening offer, €700 normally. Cover-only and interior-only work is also at 21%. Separately usable items such as extra invitations may carry 21% VAT; your quotation shows the final rate and total. Printing is added at the printer’s price.

A conversation & a plan
Share your subject, manuscript status and preferred delivery date. We agree on the scope, quotation and schedule.

Cover direction & sample pages
Representative pages help us settle the typography, tables and chapter style before extending the design.

Layout & considered revisions
I prepare the interior, cover and accompanying pieces. The price includes 20 free revision rounds; please send the changes for each round together.

Files & the print proof
We arrange the agreed prepress checks and proofing, reviewing colour, trimming, the spine and readability on paper.

Your approval. Then print.
With your final approval, production can begin. I coordinate the agreed delivery; print timing follows the printer’s confirmed schedule.

I’m based in the Netherlands and work across thesis typesetting, visual design and photography. I personally follow your project from the design conversation through to the printer. You can also discuss your ideas with me in Chinese.

Before we turn the first page.
When should I get in touch?
Get in touch as your thesis enters its final stages; every page does not have to be finished yet. Share your university’s book-submission deadline, expected manuscript completion and defence date so we can plan design and printing.
What files do you need?
Usually an editable manuscript, a reference PDF and separate figure and image files. If you use LaTeX or an existing template, let me know first. We agree on the exact handover before starting.
Can we start without a cover idea?
Absolutely. An abstract, a few keywords, colours or images you like are useful starting points. Your quotation will clarify image sourcing, design scope and any original illustration work.
Can I choose my own printer?
Yes. Files are prepared to your chosen printer’s specifications and you order from them directly. The design is then charged at 21% VAT. Free print coordination applies to the printer I work with.
How many revisions are included?
The price includes 20 free revision rounds. One round is one batch of changes sent together. Almost nobody needs that many; if you do, we’ll talk. After the sample pages are approved, a new overall design direction or a completely new manuscript is agreed separately. Changes after print approval may add printing costs.
How do you handle my thesis and portfolio use?
Your manuscript is used for the agreed design, layout and printing work. Any necessary file handover to the printer is explained in the process. Public use of client work requires separate client consent.
